Questo disegno rappresenta un abitante della luna.
Appartiene ad una vecchia favola giapponese intitolata "KAGUYAHIME" (Principessa Kaguya) che leggevo quand'ero piccola.
Racconta di una piccola principessa trovata da una coppia di anziani, i due decidono di
prendersene cura. Una volta cresciuta però gli abitanti della luna verranno a
prenderla per riportarla sulla luna.

Credo che questi personaggi appartengano alla cultura cinese, gli abiti che portano
mi ricordano più il vestiario cinese che non quello giapponese.
Ma è solo un'ipotesi! =P

This drawing represents an inhabitant of the moon.It belongs to a japanese tale "KAGUYAHIME" (Princess Kaguya) which I used to read when I was a child. The story tells about a little princess found in a bamboo by an old man. He decides to take care of this little girl with his wife.At the end people of the moon come to pick her up and bring her back to the moon.

I guess that these characters belong to chinese tales, perhaps! Looking to their dresses reminds me chinese old way of wearing, they don't look like japanese kimono....but this is just a supposition I'm not sure!
