Il 1 Luglio sono andata alla festa della lavanda tenutasi dalle parti di Marzabotto.
E' stata un'impresa arrivare, stradine tortuose che si inerpicavano su per i monti e la mia povera Polo che arrancava. Comunque: ne è valsa la pena!
Adoro la lavanda da quand'ero piccola e in Italia purtroppo non ne ho mai vista tanta, questa volta ho avuto l'occasione di assistere ad una dimostrazione di come ne viene estratto l'olio essenziale, è stato interessante ;)
Il campo era grandissimo, è stata un'occasione anche per fare delle belle foto. Mi aspettavo un qualcosa di un po' più "professional" ma fa lo stesso, mi sono divertita ugualmente ^^
On 1st July I went to the Lavender's Festival which took place near Marzabotto (a place sadly well known in Italy for the tragic episods that took place during the 2nd World War by the hand of nazis).
It has been an enterprise to get there, winding roads climbing mountains and my poor Polo plodding. Anyway: it was worth the trouble!
I adore la Lavender since I was a child but in Italy I've never seen it much, this time I had the occasion to attend to the demonstration of how the essential oil is being extract from the flower, it was interesting!
The field was huge, it has been also the occasion to take great pictures. I expected something more "professional" but it's OK, I enjoyed.

Be' diciamo che viene estratto mettendo un'enorme quantità di lavanda in una cisterna. Ne esce solo una piiiiccola boccettina di olio essenziale, però buonissimo!
L'ho comprato ovviamente ^^
